This grip is all about the size and the shape. I find that it ‘fills’ my hands nicely without being excessively large, and it sits in my palm and my fingers well for good control of the putter.
Also, the longer length allows you to grip down – such as on windy days when you naturally widen your stance and thus lower your hands, or should you wish for a bit of that counterbalanced feel that is becoming more and more popular.
Importantly, it does all of this with no extra weight compared to a standard grip. This is something that is vital if you do not want to change the balance of your club.
The surface has a nice ‘tacky’ feel which promotes a soft grip pressure, and I’ve noticed no loss of feedback on any length of putt (something that can occur with some oversized offerings).
Whilst the size of the Snug Daddy is uniform for most of its length, a small tapered section at the end makes it easy to pull out of my bag even with 14-way dividers.
I would recommend that anyone looking for an oversized putter grip should give this a try.
